Making Colorful Liner Wearable!

How does the saying go?  Time flies when you're having fun....It's been a while since I've posted a blog but I'm back!

Here's a quick look I did for a birthday party over the weekend.  In my mind I wanted something that looked smokey and dark.  But somehow I picked up green eye liner and decided to play with some color.  Notice that I didn't use a gel eye liner like Blacktrack by MAC to conceal the false lashes I put on.  I wanted my eyes to appear as neat as possible.  I'm happy with the look and will definitely have to experiment some more.  BTW this look was done with the MAC Colourizations collection.  Enjoy!

MAC Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation - NC44
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder Medium Dark - on top of foundation
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder Give Me Sun - contour
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder Gold Deposit - temples
MAC Blot Powder - Dark

Painterly Paint Pot - lid
MAC Arena Eyeshadow - lid and brow bone
MAC Brun Eyeshadow - crease

Pro Palette Eye Shadow x 2 Double Feature 3
MAC Deep Chocolate (Colourizations collection)- outer V
MAC Midtowe Eyeshadow (Colourizations collection)- lower lash line

MAC Eye Khol Minted - lower lash line
MAC Espresso Eyeshadow - eyebrow
MAC Haute and Naughty Lash Mascara
MAC False Lashes #7
Duo Lash Adhesive

As you can see the green eye liner is very wearable.  Don't be afraid of using color eye liner, it can be done in a way that looks very natural.  Thoughts?

I wore a pink liner last year for Howard's Homecoming and while I didn't love it, I definitely want to try it again. I think I'll try w/ a green or blue!
